Result of the 4-way Inter-Club Battle

On 8 December 2021 Ely hosted a 4-way battle between ourselves, St. Ives, St. Neots and March camera clubs.  Each club entered 12 images, and the competition was judged by Ben Pike.

The results were that Ely won with 204 points, very closely followed by St. Neots with 203 points. St. Ives scored 199 points and March scored 193 points.

Well done to everyone who had an image in the competition, and we are looking forward to next year’s competition already!

 

3-way Battle with Melbourn and Bottisham&Burwell clubs

On 24 November 2021 Ely hosted a 3-way Battle against Melbourn and Bottisham&Burwell clubs. This competition has been held for 5 years and Melbourn have won it each time. However, on this occasion Ely Photographic Club came out on top with a score of 318 points, against Bottisham&Burwell’s second place (309 points) and Melbourn’s third place (303 points).  Well done to all of the participants, there were some great images, and EPC are delighted to finally win this event!

Ely Young Photographer competition

The City of Ely Council are running a photographic competition for young people, called “Ely through a lens”, details of which can be found on the City of Ely Council website together with an entry form.  Ely Photographic Club will be judging the competition, for which there are a number of age groups, after the closing date of 30th November 2021. Photos can be taken on any device, and  need to be in a digital format, jpeg with a maximum file size of 2.5Mb. The age groups are 4-7 years, 8-10 years, 11-15 years, and 16-19 years.
