DESCRIPTION:This evening John Harvey will be running a practical demonstration of post-processing at the College\, showing members how to make adjustments to Raw files in both Photoshop and Lightroom. We will be using a laptop and projector in the Hall to show how to improve your photographs in real time. \nThis will be an “Advanced Photography Group” style of meeting\, with John processing a number of images from different genres\, including landscape\, wildlife and also one or two images from our recent portrait evening. It will be informal\, and everyone will have a chance to contribute to the evening. If you have any questions on how to post-process your images\, this is the ideal opportunity to learn new skills\, so please do come along and help to make this an educational and enjoyable evening.  read more

SUMMARY:Presentation - "Landscape and seascape photography in the UK"
DESCRIPTION:Roger Hance will be back at the club this evening presenting his talk on landscapes and seascapes around the country. Rogers talks are always excellent\, so this is an evening to look forward to! \nLandscape and Seascapes Photography is one of the most rewarding areas of photography\, as well being one of the most challenging. In the first half of this presentation Roger will cover composition\, lighting\, exposure\, equipment\, preparation and research\, as well as Infra Red Photography. Roger will explain the focal length of the lenses used for landscape photography\, and how\, depending on lighting and composition\, he decides which lens to use.  Roger will talk about and show examples of the use of ND filters – when they work\, as well as situations where they will not work.\nIn the second half of the talk Roger will show examples of his work taken at eight of his favourite areas in the UK. Cornwall\, The Lake District\, The Scottish Highlands\, The Peak District\, The Northumberland Coast\, Snowdonia\, Devon\, and Dorset.

DESCRIPTION:Cambridge Camera Club are running their exhibition this year at St Andrews Baptist Church in Cambridge. The exhibition poster is here. \nThe Exhibition runs from 1pm-5pm Monday\, 30th September and opens 10am-5pm all other days\, closing at 5pm on Saturday\, 4th October.  Cambridge Camera Club  hope that many EPC members will take advantage of this rare situation – to visit the Club’s Exhibition during the week and perhaps book one or more of the events at the Photography Week/Show as well.  These include equipment demos\, talks and some great deals.  read more
