SUMMARY:Presentation - "Tuscan Autumn"
DESCRIPTION:The first event of 2026! \nWe start this part of the season with a presentation by Naomi Saul showing images from Tuscany. \nThis will be a delightful stroll through the Tuscan countryside in the area known as Val D’Orcia. The main emphasis being the beautiful light that is evident in the area and the way in which it shifts throughout the day\, highlighting different aspects of the countryside. Showing the wonderful contours of the valley\, we will be able to see how important it is not only to photograph at different times of the day\, but also to try out different angles and directions while often staying in almost the same spot. Always taken using a tripod\, Naomi’s photos reveal the subtle changes in colour\, shape and texture that the changing light brings about.  read more

DESCRIPTION:This evening we have our Ken Hitch themed competition for four PDIs – there are both colour and mono sections\, and this year there will be four themes\, i.e. one image entry for each of the four themes.\nThese will be:\nColour – One image on “Action”\, and one image on “Upside Down”\nMono – One image on “Doors and Windows” and one image on “Minimalist” \nThe highest aggregate score from all four images will win the competition. \nPlease note the slightly earlier start time!  read more
