Evening visit to Cambridge city centre

There has been a change to the original club programme for the evening of 2nd December, due to Swavesey Camera Club now holding the 4-way regional competition on 4th February 2027.

To give members an additional opportunity to practice street photography, we are going to meet in Cambridge city centre. This will be in the evening, so tripods are recommended, but not essential. Faster lenses of f2.8 or wider will work hand held in brighter street lighting. The Christmas lights will be on, so they will provide additional light, and provide a great opportunity for learning and practicing after-dark photography with many experienced members around to give advice.

Meeting place – outside the front of Boots in Sydney Street. (For transport, we suggest car sharing as the car parks are expensive, or use park and ride – the last bus is at 8.30pm midweek).

Time – 6pm. There will be a group there at that time, but feel free to arrive earlier or later if that’s good for you. For location of the group, call Chris on 07748 381296.

For an evening meal, there are many outlets, so we can decide on the day.
