Ely Photographic Club are proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the club in 1974 by holding an exhibition of prints produced by our club members at the prestigious Babylon Gallery at Ely riverside. To launch EPC's 50th Anniversary Print Exhibition at the Babylon Gallery, this evening there is an Exhibition Preview launch event being held, where you can come and have a look at the work that has been produced by our club members. The venue is the prestigious Babylon Gallery at Ely riverside, a short walk from [...][[wp-link-page]]

The club will be starting its new season for 2024/25 with a warm welcome to members old and new. This will be the 50th Anniversary of the club's formation, so a momentous occasion! Tonight's meeting will be a presentation by Ashley Franklin. This is Part 2 of Ashleys photographic club talks, and is billed as "the story of aerial, advertising, landscape, sport, and science & nature photography, with a special focus on photo art: More fascinating imagery beyond the pictorial camera club world, exploring the history, style and [...][[wp-link-page]]

This evening we are planning to look at equipment and techniques, with practical demonstrations in the Hall led by some of our club members. More details to follow nearer the date.

This evening we are fortunate to have club member Kevin Pigney leading this presentation, explaining how he processes his amazing award-winning images. This will be an informative and enjoyable evening not to be missed.! This evening the first of our 3 print competitions will be held at the College, and the judge for the evening will be David Steel. Please remember to bring your prints along by 7.15pm at the latest.

Tracey Lund will be presenting her talk, postponed from last season. Tracey will be showcasing images from Alaska, Canada, Yellowstone, India, and the Zimanga private wildlife park in Zululand, as well as some images from around the UK.

There is no meeting this evening, but don't forget to submit some images for our informal critique evening next week. Images need to be submitted to PhotoEntry by midnight tonight.

This evening we will be looking at some of our members images, and discussing positive ways in which they might be improved. The discussion will be led by some of our more experienced members, but the discussion will be open to all to have their say.
