General info

Ely Photographic Club is a local friendly club founded in 1974 which now has around 50 members, who have a wide range of photographic experience, from beginner to expert.

We provide a varied and interesting programme of competitions, presentations, workshops, training and social events in order to support our members and encourage them to improve their photographic skills. We also now have agreements with local farmers to access their land for the purposes of taking wildlife images.

The club normally meet on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Ely College, and the season runs from September through to the end of May. We also now run a periodic Advanced Photography Group on the first Thursday of the month, run by one of our experienced club members, which is designed to help you to improve your photographic and post-processing skills.  The club also now has open and closed Facebook groups, as well as Twitter/X and Instagram accounts where we can share our images. When we are meeting in person at the college there are excellent facilities and free car parking.

We very much welcome new members, and we sometimes arrange informal meetings where you can meet up with us – please keep an eye on our Events page for these. If you would like to see what the club is about, we would be very pleased for you to join us for up to 3 meetings as a guest without any commitment to join the club, although we do charge a guest fee of £3 per meeting when we are meeting at the College. Our annual membership fees for the 2023/24 season will be £60pa. Please browse our site for more information about the club  and our contact details or simply get in touch by using the Contact Us form on this website.
