4-way Print and PDI competition

On Tuesday 14 November 2023, we competed in a 4-way inter-club competition. This event has been in place for a number of years but has not taken place since before Covid. The 4 clubs involved were: St Ives PC, St Neots CC, Swavesey CC and EPC, and the event was hosted by St. Ives. The competition involves each club submitting 8 Prints and 8 PDIs with each being marked out of 20, and the club with the highest aggregate score is the winner. The Judge was Colin Mill from Milton Keynes, and the scores were very close at the top, with similar scores by EPC and St. Neots. St Neots scored three maximum 20s against our two, and were declared the winner. read more

Pat Goode Memorial Shield competition

On 13 November 2023, Ely Photographic Club participated in the Pat Goode Memorial Shield competition, where ten clubs each entered four print and four pdi images. The event was hosted by Wisbech and District Camera Club at Wisbech Football Club. The judge for the evening was Richard Houghton.

EPC did not score as highly as we would have hoped, and did not do as well as we have in other recent inter-club competitions, coming eighth overall. The standard of work was extremely high, and the competition was won by PICO (Photographic Image Cooperative). read more
