Photography Day at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome

Bury St Edmunds Photographic Society are arranging a photography day out at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, near Maldon in Essex. The airfield Trust will be bringing some re-enactment groups for the day, which will include an aircraft in a period setting with ground crew, RFC pilots with their aircraft in a period setting, (both with airfield building backdrops), British infantry on patrol in a rural setting with a wooded backdrop, and aircraft in a clear setting for detailed shots. There will also be an opportunity to photograph local wildlife and the museum exhibits.  There are 40 places available, and this will include photographers from other local clubs. The 40 people will be split into 4 groups with around 45 minutes for each set piece.

Although the public will be present at the airfield, they will not be allowed into the area where the sets have been put up.

Gates open at 10.00am, with the event starting at 2pm and continuing past sunset.
