The second of our three Print League competitions will be judged by Colin Mill this evening.
St. Neots and District CC are holding their annual photographic exhibition of prints and digital images on 8th November from 10am to 4pm at the United Reform Church in St Neots, and everyone is welcome to go along. Refreshments will be available.
We will be hosting this brand new event for the first time tonight. Seven other clubs have been chosen from a pool of local clubs using an algorithm which randomly selects the clubs. If you would like to have a look around one of the other farms that the club has access to, Swasedale Farm at Prickwillow, which belongs to Tom Clarke's Green Farm group, you will have an opportunity to do that on Sunday 16 November. This evenings meeting will be held in person at the College and will be one of our periodic "Digital Techniques" sessions run by John Harvey. ‘Odd Things' - relating specifically to creative photography, and how photographers can increase their creative thoughts, and images. The presenter this evening will be Diane Seddon, who will show many of her creative shots, from light painting to composites. All achieved with camera and processing techniques. This year's friendly competition against Melbourn and Bottisham&Burwell clubs will this year be hosted by Melbourn at the Village Hall, and 18 prints from each club will be judged by Jonathan Vaines. Members of Ely PC are welcome to attend, doors open at 7pm and the competition will start at 7.30pm.
Our annual 4-way battle against St. Ives, St. Neots and Swavesey clubs. This year it is our turn to host the event, so we will be in the Adelaide Hall tonight, and starting a little earlier at 7.15pm. for a prompt finish. This evenings event will be judged by Naomi Saul.
