The first event of 2026! We start this part of the season with a presentation by Naomi Saul showing images from Tuscany. This will be a delightful stroll through the Tuscan countryside in the area known as Val D'Orcia. This evening we have our Ken Hitch themed competition for PDIs - there are colour and mono sections, and the themes for each of those will be posted here nearer the time.
Another of club member Roger Newark's excellent talks this evening! Join Roger as he explores the timeless craft of black and white photography — where form, light, and texture take centre stage. This talk will dive into how removing colour reveals the essence of a subject, sharpening our eye for contrast, mood, and composition. Expect [...][[wp-link-page]]
This event is planned for Saturday 24 January 2026 and will be held at Whittlesford. More details to follow nearer the time.
This evening's presentation is a return visit by award winning professional photographer Kevin Sawford. This talk, as described by Kevin as “The stories behind some of my projects with tricks and tips for the field craft” will show us the tools and techniques needed to capture wonderful nature images for ourselves using fieldcraft techniques. Penny Reeves will be the judge for this evenings Print Panel competition. More details on the rules will be circulated nearer the time.
This evening we are going to be hosting our annual PDI competition against Kings Lynn. 30 PDI's will be submitted by each club (max 3 per author) and Nick Akers will be the judge for the evening.
