This evening we have our Ken Hitch themed competition for four PDIs - there are both colour and mono sections, and this year there will be four themes, i.e. one image entry for each of the four themes. Ely College will be holding their second "Community Directory Day on 17 January, where members of the public can come along and talk to us about the club. Another of club member Roger Newark's excellent talks this evening! Join Roger as he explores the timeless craft of black and white photography — where form, light, and texture take centre stage. This evening's presentation is a return visit by award winning professional photographer Kevin Sawford. This talk, as described by Kevin as “The stories behind some of my projects with tricks and tips for the field craft” will show us the tools and techniques needed to capture wonderful nature images for ourselves using fieldcraft techniques.  For [...][[wp-link-page]]

Penny Reeves will be the judge for this evenings Print Panel competition. In the Themed panel competition members can enter 3, 4, 5 or 6 prints and the theme is at the choice of the member. This evening we are going to be hosting our annual PDI competition against Kings Lynn. 30 PDI's will be submitted by each club (max 3 per author) and Nick Akers will be the judge for the evening.

In a change from his excellent wildlife photography, club member and professional photographer Kevin Pigney will be presenting some of his landscape images at the College this evening. This year's competition will once again be held at St. Ives Free Church. Each of the clubs competing in this inter-club competition will be submitting 6 prints, and up to 30 clubs will be entering.
