4-way External competition
This evening there is a competition against St. Neots, St. Ives and Swavesey, which will be hosted this year by St Neots. Each club will be submitting 8 prints and 8 pdi's, and the event will be judged by Naomi Saul.

This evening there is a competition against St. Neots, St. Ives and Swavesey, which will be hosted this year by St Neots. Each club will be submitting 8 prints and 8 pdi's, and the event will be judged by Naomi Saul.
This evening it is our turn to host this annual competition against Melbourn and Bottisham&Burwell clubs, at Ely College. Each of the three clubs will be entering 18 prints each, with a maximum of two per photographer. The first of our three PDI competitions to be held this season will be judged by Nick Akers.
This is our last meeting before Christmas, and we are planning to have a social event at the Lamb Hotel in Ely from 7.30pm onwards - we hope to see you there!

On Saturday 11 January Ely College are running a free event designed to showcase some of the clubs, societies and voluntary organisations from the local community, and Ely Photographic Club will be running an information stall at this event. For more details, please see the poster here.
This year the competition will be judged by Clive Harward. The themes have now been decided and will be "Humour" in the colour section and "Abstract" for the Mono section.
This evening we will be running a practical demonstration on how to set up a portrait shoot, including how to arrange suitable lighting. This will be held at the studios of Muse Fine Art printing in Witchford (not at the College). We are aiming to have two studio setups available with backdrops and lights, and [...][[wp-link-page]]
