David Steel will be presenting his talk: David will take us on a journey across the Himalayas, using the highest altitude road that is open to the public. Travelling by motorcycle, David will share his experiences and images with us as he travels across this wonderful mountain range. Don't forget to submit the PDI copies [...][[wp-link-page]]
Following John Harvey's successful workshop held at the College, this is a second chance to learn more about post processing in Lightroom and Photoshop. Friday 28th February sees the famous LNER A3 Class locomotive 60103 'Flying Scotsman' hauling freight for the first time in over 30 years on the 'Scotch Goods' photo charter. This will be split in to two events - daytime and evening photo charters. The daytime charter will be across the full length of the NVR [...][[wp-link-page]]
Each of the clubs competing in this inter-club competition will be submitting 6 prints, and up to 30 clubs will be entering. The event will be open for viewing from 10am until 4pm, prior to the judging, which will commence at 6pm, finishing around 9-9.30pm with a half-time break. The final print competition of the season, which will be judged this evening by Penny Reeves. Please bring your print entries to the College by 7.15pm at the latest to give the judge time to have a look before the competition starts.
Wednesday 12th March will see BR Standard Class 7 locomotive 70000 'Britannia' hauling demonstration freight wagons on the 'Rule Britannia' photo charter - this will be an all day event on the Nene Valley Railway lines. Colin Westgate will be the presenter this evening. As a Fellow Member of the RPS, Colin has decades of experience in landscape photography. Iceland is one of the wonders of the world for any landscape photographer, with winter being particularly challenging. The EAF are holding their Print Championships at Fulbourn on 16 March this year, and a poster can be viewed here After lunch there will be a print talk by Roger Reynolds.
This evening will be a friendly PDI Zoom competition, and KLDCC are due to host the event which will be judged by Nick Akers. However, Ely will actually run the Zoom session, with Maurice Wright running PhotoEntry and sharing his screen, and KLDCC members joining via the Zoom link sent to them.
