Print Competition 1 of 3, 2023/24

On Wednesday 18 October 2023 we held our first print competition of the year, which was judged by Jonathan Vaines.

The entries in the Colour section which scored a maximum of 20 points were :

“Charlotte” by Chris Cross, “Kestrel Hunting” by Kevin Pigney, “Kestrel portrait” by John Harvey, and “The Night Watchman” by John Hunting.

Colour prints that scored 19 out of 20 were:

“Barn Owl diving for Prey” by Nick Bowman, “Best Buddies” by Kevin Pigney, “Misty Fenland Dawn” by Glynis Pierson, “Common Darter” by Ryan Bailey, and “One handed Kite Surfer” by Vanessa Wheeler.

The entries in the Mono Section that scored a maximum 20 points were:

“Copse on the Hill” by Martin Smith, and “Kite Surfer Power Boarding” by Nick Bowman.

Mono prints that scored 19 out of 20 were:

“Atmospheric Mist around Ely Cathedral” by Glynis Pierson, “Petronas Tower and Kuala Lumpur Skyline” by Maurice Wright, and “Spitting Dirt” by Ryan Bailey.
