The inaugural EPC Invitation Shield competition was held on Wednesday 12 November 2025 in the Adelaide Hall of Ely College, and the event went very well.  We now have our own regional competition of which the club can be very proud. Thanks to Clive Harward for judging the 64 entries of PDI’s and prints submitted by the eight clubs involved. The results of the competition were that Bury St. Edmunds Photographic Society won the competition, with an overall score of 145 points, and in second place were Royston Photographic Society with 144 points, so it was a very close result. Ely came joint third, together with North Norfolk Photographic Society, with 142 points. Congratulations to Bury St. Edmunds, who will retain the engraved shield until they defend it at next year’s competition. We are constructing a Powerpoint slideshow that will enable all of our club members to view the entries from the event, and a link to that slideshow will be circulated shortly. Thanks to everyone who contributed raffle prizes, we made £133 for the club from that, which is a great result. The club are already planning next year’s Invitation Shield competition, which is already in the programme for 2026, so something for us all to look forward to!

On Wednesday 5 November 2025, we held our second print competition of the season when 49 colour and 19 mono images were judged by Colin Mill.

Well done to everyone who entered the competition, and it was particularly good to see so many of our new members entering!
