Members Choice Competition winners

Following the club AGM on 21 May, we held our Members Choice competition for both prints and PDI images.

Congratulations to Maurice Wright for winning the Print section, with “First Light on Thurne Dyke windpump” and to John Amas for winning the PDI section with “The Angel at Dusk”.

That concludes the regular season of events for the season, and we look forward to seeing everyone again in September for our next exciting season!

Club Annual General Meeting 2025/Members Choice competition

The final meeting of the season is our club AGM, an important one for us so please do try to attend this one if at all possible.

The evening will also include the Members Choice Print and PDI competitions, where your favourite images of the season will be judged by fellow members to choose their favourite of the year!

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible that evening.

Zoom Meeting recordings

Please note that all presentations on Zoom are now recorded, if we have the permission of the presenter. If you are an EPC Club member who has missed a recent Zoom meeting and you would like to watch it, please contact the Club Secretary and he will send you a link. Recordings will normally be kept for one month before deletion.

A45 Competition results

The A45 competition organised by Bury St Edmunds Photographic Society was held on 3 April 2025 between 8 clubs. The judge this year was Nick Akers.

Ely Photographic Club was delighted to win the competition this year, with a score of 134 points. The host club BSEPS came second with 132 points, and Cambridge were third with 123points. This was a fantastic result for Ely, so congratulations to everyone who contributed to this success.

We look forward to competing in the competition again next year.!

Friendly PDI competition against Kings Lynn – results

This year it was the turn of Kings Lynn and District Camera Club to host this annual event, when 30 images from each club were judged by Nick Akers. Although Ely were ahead by just one point at the halfway mark, the final result was that Kings Lynn won the event by one point at the end, once the held-back images were scored. Congratulations to Kings Lynn, and we look forward to another closely-fought contest next year!
