North Anglian Challenge Trophy – Results

We were one of 5 clubs participating in the North Anglian Challenge Trophy held at Wisbech on 1 April 2019. Each club had to submit 7 PDIs and 7 prints, and the judge was David Steel.

In the first half we scored 127 poits out of 140 for our PDI entries and were leading by 8 points, but the other 4 clubs made a fightback in the 2nd half with their print submissions. We came 2nd overall with 238 points. Wisbech came 1st with 240, Brancaster 3rd with 236, Kings Lynn 4th with 234 and Hunstanton 5th with 225. read more

Results of Fun Portrait competition

Although many of us do not think of ourselves primarily as portrait photographers, a great number of the club’s members submitted images for this competition, which was held on 6 February 2019.  Local photographer Ian Stacey judged the event, and made some very useful comments as part of his critique on how to improve our portraits in the future. Members were split into two teams captained by Andrew Hunt and Kevin Pigney, and Ian judged a total of 50 images (25 per team).

Although Kevin’s team took an early lead and were in front at the halfway point, Andrew’s team had a strong second half, and amazingly, when the results were totalled, each team had scored the same total number of points! read more
