Inaugural Meeting of the Club Online – PDI Competition No 4 and league results
On Wednesday 25 March 2020, the club held it’s first virtual meeting using Zoom, an online videoconferencing application. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are currently not holding our normal meetings, so this experiment was a useful one and definitely the way forward to keep club members in contact with one another. Training on how to use this form of communication, and the meeting itself, was organised by the Club Chair, Andrew Hunt, to whom we are very grateful for all of his hard work. On the night, the meeting was very successful, and we hope to arrange further meetings and events in this way for the time being. This will mean that the club can continue to provide the best possible service to members in the current difficult circumstances.
54 images were viewed during the evening as the final competition of our seasonal pdi league, and Andrew gave feedback from our judge Gerry Metcalfe, who had critiqued and scored the images at home in advance. Results of this competition, and the winning images, can be viewed on our Competitions Page as usual, or simply accessed by Clicking Here
Congratulations to both Bruce Liggitt and Richard Whitmore for coming joint first in the pdi league competition, both scoring 152 points out of a potential 160 over the course of the season. Well done to both!
