EPC came a very creditable fourth out of ten competing clubs on Monday 11 November at the last of these events to be hosted by Wisbech and District Camera Club. Each of the ten clubs submitted four pdi images and four prints, and the event was judged by David Steele. This was a great result for the club.

Well done to all of the entrants, and to the high-scorers in particular.
The exhibition at the Babylon Arts gallery is now over, and has been a great success, with over 2,000 visitors and a very pleasing number of sales. We sold 46 prints in total (and 6 calendars), and have gained some new members also as a direct result of the event. Thanks to everyone who helped to make the exhibition such a success, and congratulations to everyone who participated, whether you sold anything or not – all of your work was brilliant and much admired by the public, who left us some great feedback!
Our 50th Anniversary Print exhibition is now open at the Babylon Arts Gallery! Just a reminder that the clubs Annual General Meeting will take place at the Adelaide Hall, Ely College, at 7.30pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024.
The AGM will be followed by the presentation of Award Certificates to the members who have won the various club competitions during the season, and then we will hold our annual Members Choice competition, wher all club members present can vote for their favourite print and PDI images of the year.
This will be the final meeting of our regular club season, although we will be organising a number of club outings during the summer. The club will reconvene next September for our 50th Anniversary season!
Ten clubs competed in this event that was hosted by Peterborough on 23 April 2024. The event was won by PICO (151 points), with Deepings club second (147 points), Biggleswade third (140 points), and Ely came equal fourth with Wisbech on 133 points. The competition was judged by Diane Seddon.
On Thursday 4 April 2024 Bury St Edmunds Photographic Society hosted the annual inter-club competition. Nine clubs submitted 7 PDI images each, which were judged by Ken Payne.
The event was won by Cambridge Camera Club with 134 points, and Ely were second with 131 points, a great achievement considering that Cambridge have four times as many members as Ely, so this was a brilliant result for us. (We used seven different authors for our seven entries, too.) Third place went to St.Ives, fourth to Stowmarket, and Felixstowe and BSEPS clubs were equal fifth.
