Friendly competition against Kings Lynn

On Thursday 21 March we hosted a friendly competition against Kings Lynn and District Camera Club, which is becoming a regular annual event. Each club submitted 30 PDI images each, which were judged by Jim Bennett. In a thoroughly enjoyable and closely-fought competition, Ely Photographic Club narrowly came out on top with 544 points, only one point ahead of Kings Lynn – near the end of the evening the scores were actually all square at one stage, so it could not have been closer!

Well done to all of the members who contributed to such a great evening, and we look forward to repeating the event next year. For a full list of the individual scores from the evening, please click on the scoresheet link here. read more

The 4 clubs involved were: St Ives PC, St Neots CC, Swavesey CC and EPC, and the event was hosted by St. Ives. The competition involves each club submitting 8 Prints and 8 PDIs with each being marked out of 20, and the club with the highest aggregate score is the winner. The Judge was Colin Mill from Milton Keynes, and the scores were very close at the top, with similar scores by EPC and St. Neots. St Neots scored three maximum 20s against our two, and were declared the winner. read more
