A friendly photographic club based in the fenland city of Ely
On Wednesday 18th October we will be holding our first print competition this season, and the 59 prints submitted for this will be judged on the night by Jonathan Vaines. Entrants must submit their prints as soon after 7pm as possible, please, with 7.15pm as the deadline. We are looking forward to an enjoyable evenings judging at the club – good luck to everyone!
The new digital information boards installed by VisitEly around the city have now gone live, and Ely Photographic Club has provided a number of local images of the City and the Cathedral, in exchange for publicity for our club. The images can be viewed on the new boards, and we hope will generate public interest in our photography.
Now that the club season is over we are arranging a number of club outings over the summer which are open to members, and details of these are being circulated. We look forward to seeing some of you at these events.
The new club season will start on 20 September 2023, and we hope you will join us for another varied and interesting programme of events then.
On 24 May 2023, following the clubs AGM, EPC Secretary Phil Lenney presented Award Certificates to the winners of the seasons competitions.

Ely Photographic Club competed in this competition which was held at Bury St. Edmunds on Thursday 27 April 2023. 9 Clubs competed on the night, and we are delighted that we won the competition against some excellent competition from the other entrants.
Congratulations to everyone who had work entered in this competition, this was a great result for the club!

The final pdi competition of the season was held on Wednesday 29 March, and the results of that evenings event can be viewed here
This means that the final results of this seasons pdi league are now available on PhotoEntry. Congratulations to Kevin Pigney for winning the league this year, and to Nick Bowman and Kim Jones for coming 2nd and 3rd respectively.

On Saturday 25 February 2023, we competed in the St Ives Interprint competition, in which 20 local clubs submitted 6 prints each. These were judged by Chris Palmer who spent the whole day viewing and scoring the prints. Total club scores ranged from a total of 91 points through to the winning club, PICO, who scored 108 points. Ely Photographic Club came equal 7th in the competition with a combined score of 100 points, and a full summary of the results and individual scores can be viewed here.
